INDICATIONS FOR USE: The TriVascular Ovation Abdominal Stent Graft System is indicated for use in subjects diagnosed with an aneurysm in the abdominal aorta with small aortic diameters and access vessels of less than 7 mm in diameter, having vascular morphology suitable for endovascular repair, including: adequate iliac/femoral access compatible with vascular access techniques, devices, and/or accessories; a non-aneurysmal proximal aortic neck with a length of at least 7 mm proximal to the aneurysm, with an inner wall diameter of no less than 15.5 mm and no greater than 17.4 mm, and with an aortic angle of d 60 degrees if proximal neck is > 10 mm and < 45 degrees if proximal neck is < 10 mm; adequate distal iliac landing zone with a length of at least 10 mm, with an inner wall diameter of no less than 8 mm and no greater than 17 mm.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: The TriVascular Ovation Abdominal Stent Graft System is contraindicated indicated for use in patients who have a condition that threatens to infect the graft and patients with sensitivities or allergies to the device materials. Field Clinical Specialist (Long Term Consultant) - UK & Scandinavia

Job Description

The Field Clinical Specialist (FCS) will be responsible for providing technical, educational and clinical support for the post CE Mark use of the Ovation Stent Graft System. In close coordination with the regional Business Director, the FCS will identify, train and support customers to drive the adoption of the innovative Ovation technology. The position will require 50-70% estimated per annum of travel.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides technical and educational training to physicians and allied staff on the clinical use of the company’s products.
  • Provides technical and educational training to channel partners in related geographies.
  • Works closely with the regional Business Director and Channel Partners to identify and train Key Opinion Leaders in the use of Ovation.
  • Provides ongoing case support to customers, including Operating Room/procedure support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with physician community by providing ongoing education and clinical expertise regarding the use of company’s products.
  • Attends investigator meetings, conferences and/or other relevant meetings.
  • Supports company goals and objectives, policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five to ten years clinical training experience in the Vascular industry in supporting the applications, clinical use, and training of interventional medical devices. Previous EVAR experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience in interventional cardiology, cath lab, or endovascular OR environment as a nurse or technician.
  • Experience and knowledge of the use of investigational devices in clinical studies, in accordance with FDA regulations and Good Clinical Practices.
  • Knowledge and ability to produce documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet access and web-based navigation skills.
  • Candidate should have demonstrated ability to work independently, interface and communicate with physicians and allied staff in the hospital environment.
  • Ability to communicate and interface with department and senior management.
  • Strong initiative and positive attitude with clear and concise verbal and writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and posses problem solving/decision making skills.
